The Safety Superhero Story
As a chartered health and safety professional, I’ve spent years working in safety leadership, witnessing firsthand how safety is often misunderstood and can be seen as dull, restrictive, or purely about rules and reprimands. But safety is so much more than that, it’s about care, trust, and empathy and empowering people to look out for themselves and others.
The Safety Superhero was born from my desire to change the culture of safety at its grassroots to inspire the next generation in a way that’s engaging, inspiring, and fun. I wanted to create a book that not only educates but empowers children to embrace their inner safety superhero to understand why safety matters and to build safety awareness naturally, without fear or complaints.
...and the book was just the beginning. The Safety Superhero Academy grew from this vision to reshape how safety is perceived and taught to our next generation.
